The Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) has been accredited by the regulators of England and Wales (Ofqual and the Welsh Government) and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). It is supported by Skills for Health; the Sector Skills Council for Health.
Qualification Overview and Objective
This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in First Aid.
The objective of the qualification is for those learners already working or preparing to work in industry and that have been identified within the company’s risk assessment of First Aid and
supports the role in the workplace as a First aider. It is typically delivered as a one day programme.
Topics within this course are regarded by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace.
The qualification provides learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills in First Aid.
In order to register on to this qualification, learners are required to meet the following entry requirements:
- 16 years of age or above
- It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English and Maths
*n.b. A registration and training materials fee of £13.00 +VAT per delegate is applicable to the Emergency First Aid at Work 1 day course, in addition to the course price.
