The Role
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and security of buildings and occupants through comprehensive fire safety inspections and risk assessment reports. Place of Work
Home Based; Required to work out of this location in order to travel to other locations which will predominantly be in the South of England; Hampshire, Surrey & Dorset, but is likely to include travel elsewhere from time to time. Candidates who do not live in the Hampshire Area or in close commuting distance should not apply.

You will also be required to complete required works and stay for short periods away from home. This will include visiting the Head Office at Luffield House, Stadium Way, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3SD on occasions when required.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for competent fire risk assessors with experience of working in/with Social Housing. You must be qualified and competent and will be expected to take on the role quickly after a short familiarisation period.

We also have a vacancy for a trainee Fire Risk Assessor in the same area, so if you believe you have some relevant fire safety qualifications and experience then we would like to hear from you.

Candidates who do not live in the Hampshire Area or in close commuting distance and who DO NOT have Social Housing experience with Fire Risk Assessments should not apply.

The Role
A fire safety technician is responsible for the completion of fire safety inspections on buildings for the specific purpose of completing:

  • Fire door surveys, inspections & reports,
  • Fire safety plans & emergency response plans,
  • Completion of audits and reports on secure information boxes,
  • General maintenance on secure information boxes.

Fundamental to a fire safety technician’s role is to support the measures required within a building to prevent the loss of life and damage to property as a result of a fire, or fire related incident.

Fire safety technicians must work to strict guidelines set out by the government and relevant fire safety bodies. They must ensure that buildings and services are compliant with relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

Apprentices and Trainees for this role would be strictly supervised at all times, and all reports and plans produced must be checked and validated by a competent fire safety risk assessor/consultant.

What We Are Looking For
This is a brand-new role that we have created to meet the needs of our clients and help them to fulfil the new Fire Safety England Regulations and have THREE vacancies for this position.

Ideally we would welcome applications from candidates who have some experience/understanding of Fire Doors, their purpose, and composition and also able to read/interpret and draw simple plans.

But candidates who believe they have relevant transferable skills will be considered.

We are seeking a talented IT Support Assistant to provide technical assistance and support across the business. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a passion for customer service, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and assisting with network maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to employees via phone, email, or in person
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Install and configure computer systems and software
  • Assist with network and server maintenance
  • Document and track all support requests and resolutions
  • Train employees on new technologies and software applications
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
  • Perform regular software updates and patches
  • Assist with IT procurement and asset management

What We Are Looking For
This is a brand new role which we have created to specifically support the Luffield House Head Office Team. This is a career position; we are looking for candidates who want a long-term career.

Are You the Right Candidate?

If you are interested in this role you will have;

  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a related role
  • Strong technical skills in hardware, software, and networking
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • A sound understanding and ability to use IT systems (i.e., Windows, Microsoft 365 applications, Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender).
  • An aptitude for diagnosing and fixing hardware, software and networking issues related to employee IT equipment.
  • Previous experience with CMS systems such as WordPress and Umbraco.
  • Understanding of Data Protection and security principles.
  • You will also be self-motivated and self-disciplined
